FELLOWSHIP: MirArte

15 AUG – 15 OCT 2026

Aplications open

Do you consider yourself an artist?

Do you have a conflict with your art?

In Fellowship: MirArte you will have 2 months to explore and experiment with a group of artists across multiple disciplines.

This is not a programme to perfect your techniques, but to look at what happens inside of you when you create and expose yourself.

It won’t be comfortable, it won’t be gentle, and you won’t be alone.

For years, we have accompanied many artists and have come to understand that artistic development is not separate from personal growth.

“I felt a lot of guilt about expressing my emotions. Through playing with El Juego, I realised that what was happening inside me had every right to exist, and I was able to relate to my emotions more lightly. When the opportunity came to audition for a role in a film, I did it because I knew I was capable of acting from my real emotions.”

Alisson Correa (Colombia)

Actress in Un poeta, awarded at Cannes 2025

“I felt that I had to choose between my craft and my desires. I discovered that behind that separation there was something else: my parents’ divorce. I realised that having to choose wasn’t just something from the past; it was something I was still carrying within me. Through playing with El Juego, I found a freedom in which I can live my dreams without having to choose.”

Eduardo Bustos (Colombia)

Filmmaker

“I was burned out. I lived under constant pressure to perform and prove myself. Through playing with El Juego, I saw how I was forcing my creativity and pushing myself from a place of ‘having to.’ I looked at my relationship with pressure and control, and today art is no longer something I need to feel worthy: now I choose it and enjoy it.”

Zuma Puma (Canda/UK)

Performer and founder of Clownlife

“I struggled to choose between ideas, styles, and where to begin each creation. I wanted it to be spectacular, and that paralyzed me. I discovered that sometimes that perfectionism was a search for approval, especially from my parents. At El Juego, I allowed that approval to celebrate my pure existence rather than the product of what I do. Now I feel more relaxed when I create.”

Elizabeth Valencia (Mexico)

Painter and muralist

“I arrived at El Juego as the assistant to the assistant in the Casa Madre. I found it hard to confront, take risks, and give importance to my own opinion. I ended up leading the construction. Today I carry forward projects with direction and confidence, giving power to my voice to transmit my knowledge in the creation of new architectural spaces.”

Nicolás Abril (Colombia)

Architect and tattoo artist

“I started writing when my family commissioned me to create a family book; before that, I hadn’t taken my desire to be an artist seriously. For four years I struggled with a lack of consistency. In the community, a harsh but authentic critique helped me see that I was living responsibility as a burden rather than as empowerment. I recognized the importance of finishing the project and honoring my word. Publishing the book gave me the confidence and direction to focus on what I dreamed of: music. Today I’m about to release my first song.”

Writer and singer

MirArte IS for you if:

  • You care about exploring what gets activated in you during the creative process. Recognising that what happens in your art begins in your inner world.

  • You are willing to invite vulnerability and humour into the creative process. To show up authentically, to question yourself, and to laugh at your own patterns and contradictions.

  • You want to take your art to the next level. And find more clarity, direction, and precision to create greater impact and achieve your goals.

MirArte is NOT for you if:

  • You are looking for comfort or refuge. You only want a calm space to create, to isolate yourself, to recharge, or to avoid what makes you uncomfortable.

  • You only want techniques or formulas. You expect artistic training, technical mentorship, or to be told what to do to improve your artwork.

  • You avoid taking responsibility for your creative process. You prefer to explain what holds you back by circumstances, lack of inspiration, perfectionism, or other people.

THE PROGRAMME INCLUDES:

During the programme, you will have dedicated time to work on your project. At the end, we will invite you to present your art to an audience.

You will present your project at its different stages to the group and receive direct, honest feedback. Together, we will play with what shows up in you when your art is seen and critiqued: self-demand, doubt, envy, defensiveness, the desire to please.

Group dynamics designed to make visible the patterns that repeat in the way you create and relate to your art. The “jueguitos” reveal tensions, roles, resistances, and new possibilities that you can then bring into your artistic practice.

We will invite you to do what you usually don’t do, through challenges and strategies only possible in a group. If you get lost in self-demand, we might challenge you to create a piece within a limited time and with absurd rules. We will play with error and imperfection so you can create from a lighter, more authentic place.

A deep immersion into your inner world. In your Door, you will be accompanied by two members of the community to discover the root of the conditioning that is holding you back and transform it.

Spaces of intimacy and trust where individual processes are held by the group. What emerges between artists (comparison, competition, admiration, rejection) becomes material for exploration.

A member of the community will be your point of reference throughout the programme. They will be available to talk about what arises in everyday life and will propose challenges to support your process.

We invite you to lead a workshop sharing your artistic perspective. What do you learn when you teach? You will also have the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by the artistic disciplines of the other participants.

You will live in a house alongside the other programme participants, in a group limited to 18 people. You will share rooms and collectively take care of the space. Decisions about how to organise cooking, cleaning, and daily life are made as a group. Intimate co-living and shared decision-making are a central part of the programme: a setting where conflicts take shape and are used as material for play. During the programme, several members of El Juego will be present in the house, holding the space and the processes that arise.

Moments to set intentions, celebrate, seek inspiration, and enjoy the rivers, waterfalls, and tropical forest of our 300-acre Nature Reserve.

Transportation from San Rafael to our land at the beginning of the programme is included, as well as all the food.

An online follow-up circle in the following months, and access to our online extended community. A network of authentic connections with people who know you at your best and your worst.

OUR TEAM

Our team is made up of 30 people from different parts of the world. We’ll accompany you from our own experience as a group, bringing each person’s unique style and talents.

Our culture is lovingly provocative: we enjoy playing with conflict as bridges toward ourselves, with the collective acting as a container of this process.

Preguntas frequentes
